Geranium Garden

The Geranium, or "Pelargon" as it's called in Swedish has in the last 100 years become one of the potted flowers that is most associated with the Swedish interior design aesthetic. This trend was arguably started by the lovely and stylish Karin Larsson, who kept them all around her house in very simple beige clay pots. This is now a staple of Swedish design and I wanted to capture that in this print. For me this print is a summer day or a day in early spring, when someone's porch is filled with all of their freshly planted plats and flowers for the season, all grouped together in a lovely summery mess. And the best part about having potted plants on your porch is that it gives you an excuse to go outside often and water them. My mom loves Geraniums and gardening in general, and very often in the summer I see her outside in the garden watering all of her plants even late at night when the Swedish summers are so long.
